Solid Creations is a small partnership which started in 2004. Matt, the artist, initially started making limited edition sculptures, which where cast in plaster. He then moved on to cast cement sculptures. In 2004 Matt started a range of one-off sculptures, many of them commissions.
Much of Matt's work is experimental and innovative and he likes incorporating glass and stainless steel in his work. Matt is inspired by design and he aims to create sculptures that are pleasing to the eye and spark an emotion. An important part of the sculptures is its interaction with its surroundings, the way it is effected by light and the shadows it creates.
In 2006 Matt started working with cast pieces in reconstituted limestone, which are interchangable as separate pieces. The look is contemporary, slick and clean cut. He has also made a range of trophies for award ceremonies at Colleges.

Matt and myself do a lot of brainstorming, drawing and discussing ideas together. I also take care of the business side of things, like creating and maintaining this web site and taking care of all the paperwork.
Matt has worked in 3D for about 17 years. He has experience in sculpting and model making using a wide range of materials and working in different sizes.
Matt also has a passion for drawing and story writing and over the years he has created many characters and stories. Many of these characters have been created in 3D figures and puppets.
